“I’m going to let you take my photo because you seem like a genuine person. But—just so you know—I don’t normally let people steal my swag.”

in which craig wants to bring the lls to my hood

NYT: Is it important that you have some personal connections to the cities where you travel?

Craig: In order to make it more fun, I think there has to be an authenticity to it. I had history in Paris, I got in trouble in Paris, I had done some things in Paris. Scotland? [rolls eyes, murmurs guiltily] So the next one I’ve been pitching to them is New York City. Because I got into trouble in New York City. We’ll see where that one goes, but let’s get this one out of the way first.

New York City Subway Stairs by Dean Peterson

New Yorker Dean Peterson noticed a small but important detail about his subway station — a single stair that’s a fraction of an inch higher than the others, causing many transit riders to trip.

What makes this story even better is that the MTA caught wind of this video and is taking, um, steps to fix the stairway. We love happy endings!

Oh, you. Subway derp.

there was rain, and then the skies cleared and a magnificent red/pink sunset just before the guys took the stage. and absolutely ran with it. incredible incredible - if you can see them live then for the sake of your soul, please do it.

Just finished watching a man write this in Washington Square Park. It was 100% freehand.

I haven’t reblogged this gif yet mainly because it’s always been in a gifset. But this one of Steve sitting at Park & 42nd - Chris Evans did this moment perfectly. I don’t care how many times I’ve walked down a street in the city, there is inevitably a moment where I stop for a minute and think: this city is incredible and I live here.

And I assume my face looks something like that.

queen of new york city
when the band finished playing
they howled out for more

we kissed on a corner
then danced through the night
